New Here?

Are you looking for a home church or a place to visit while in town? Here’s a little bit of information that might help on what to expect when visiting Calvary.

We have several things going on Sunday mornings here at Calvary Baptist Church: starting at 8:45am, we have Sunday School classes for all ages 3 years old and up and at 10am, we begin our Worship Service. Your kids above nursery age will join the adults for the first part of the service and then go to Children’s church in their respective age groups for the second part of the worship service.

There is a nursery available for those little ones under 5 years old for both Sunday School and our Worship Service and to help ensure the safety of our loved ones; everyone working with the children of Calvary Baptist Church is required to have State clearances.

Life groups are small groups that get together to study God’s word and talk about how to apply it our daily lives. It is also a time of fellowship and growing. Call the church office or email secretary@calvarybap.org for information!

On Thursdays, we have a Prayer Meeting at 7:30pm. Come Join Us!

The Youth Group meets every other week, on Sunday evenings from 6:30pm-8:00pm. Youth Group will next meet October 20th.

If it has been a while since you attended a worship service, or perhaps you have never attended at all, you may have a few questions. We hope that we can answer some of those for you right off the bat!

How should I dress? When you come to worship with us on Sundays, you will see people dressed modestly in jeans and T-shirts as well as dresses and suit jackets and anything in between. Our focus is praising the amazing God we serve.

How long is the service? Our services are usually around an hour and 15 minutes. The first half is usually a combination of music (led by our worship team and choir), announcements, prayer, and Scripture reading. The second half is a Biblical inspired message given by Pastor Joel Dingeldein. Then a closing song and prayer.

What kind of music do you have? We try to focus our service on worship. Different people worship through different types of music. Therefore, we have a blend of contemporary and traditional music, all focusing on praising God.

Will my children be welcome? We would love to have your children come with you. For those 2 and under who may not want to sit through the service, they are welcome to play in our church nursery. For your preschoolers, they can participate in the auditorium for our praise time. Then, just before the weekly message, they may go to our Children’s Church downstairs for a lesson just for them.
